Braidwood is a strategically well located small heritage town situated on the Kings Highway within one hours drive to Canberra; Batemans Bay and Goulburn. It is also within an easy three hour drive from Sydney.
Additionally within approximately one to one and a half hours travel along the Clyde Road brings you to the coastal areas of the Shoalhaven. While the same timeframe will take you along the Kings Highway over the Clyde River to Batemans Bay and the other beautiful coastal precincts of the Eurobodalla (land of many waters).
Summerfield is located adjacent to the Braidwood Hospital which incorporates emergency treatment, aged care, general medical practitioners, community health and palliative care. It is also within a level 800 metres walk of the Town's shopping precinct and other services.
In the mid nineteenth century Braidwood had a population and level of services comparable to Sydney. However since the gold rush days the area has relied primarily on agriculture and the estimated 2 million tourists that pass through the Town each year.
